What is a Disputer

In ResolveX's optimistic resolution model, AI agents resolve the majority of markets instantly. But AI isn't infallible. When an AI proposes an outcome with less than 90% confidence — or when a market creator proposes their own resolution — a 24-hour dispute window opens.

That's where Disputers come in.

Disputers are registered participants who monitor proposed resolutions and challenge any outcome they believe is incorrect. By staking a bond equal to the case bond, a Disputer triggers a jury vote — and if they're right, they walk away with double their bond.

Disputing is open to anyone. No minimum balance. No permission required. Just register, monitor markets, and challenge bad resolutions.

The Economics of Disputing

Disputing is a high-conviction action backed by real economic skin in the game.

How the bond works:

• A Disputer stakes a bond equal to the case bond (e.g. if the case bond is $100 USDT, you stake $100 USDT)
• The dispute goes to a jury of 5–17 jurors for a vote
• If you win: You receive both bonds — yours and the original asserter's — doubling your stake
• If you lose: Your entire bond is forfeited to the ResolveX treasury

This mechanism ensures that only genuine, well-researched disputes are raised. Bad-faith disputes are economically punished. Correct disputes are generously rewarded.
